Shulin District, New Taipei City, February 13, 2023 – Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. (“Everlight”) has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in US District Court for the Western District of Texas Court (“W. D. Texas Court”) on August 31, 2021, accusing that Amazon infringed Everlight US Flip Chip patent US 7,754,126. Everlight demanded the W.D. Texas Court to seek a permanent injunction against import and sales of Amazon’s accused products, and compensate damage relief. Recently, Everlight dismissed the lawsuit against Amazon because it has been amicably resolved on mutually agreed and satisfactory terms.
Everlight believed that the Filaments, UVC and Automotive LED products have used the technology of Everlight US File Chip patent US 7,554,126. The patent is related to the LED Flip Chip and packaging technology, which can enhance the luminous efficiency, working watt and heat dissipation of LED. It can not only be used for Filaments, UVC and Automotive LED products, but also for special application Lighting, CSP, Backlight, Flash and Mini/Micro LED products.

Everlight reiterated that the purpose of patent rights is to protect innovative R&D achievements and encourage industrial development; Everlight will take legal action against illegal infringements in the market, and will not grant any leniency, in order to defend Everlight consistent position of respecting intellectual property rights.
