Climate Strategy and Actions

As global warming intensifies and extreme weather events become increasingly frequent, businesses face unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Stakeholders are also placing greater emphasis on the effectiveness and transparency of corporate climate strategies and actions. Everlight closely monitors global climate change trends and international response initiatives and adopts the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework issued by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to continuously integrate climate-related issues into its governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets. Following the completion of its climate-related risk and opportunity assessment in 2024, Everlight further conducted scenario analyses and financial impact assessments for material climate-related issues in 2025. The results serve as the basis for setting future management priorities, allocating resources, and adjusting strategic plans. Through a top-down governance approach combined with a bottom-up risk identification process, the Company continues to strengthen the depth of climate-related management and progressively integrates climate considerations into operational decision-making and its Sustainability Governance framework.

Based on the four core elements of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework, Everlight continues to advance the management and disclosure of climate-related issues. Guided by the pillars of Governance, Strategy, Risk Management, and Metrics and Targets, the Company is progressively establishing internal management mechanisms and integrating climate change considerations into its overall Sustainability Development and Risk Management processes. Through an integrated planning approach, climate-related management practices are continuously reviewed and refined across Everlight’s global operations.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Management

The Company has established a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory system in accordance with internationally recognized standards. Through a structured management framework, Everlight conducts data collection, inventory management, verification, and emissions reduction management to ensure that disclosed information is consistent, comparable, and reliable. Each operating location has established a GHG Inventory system in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018, supplemented by country-specific emission factors. GHG emissions data from key operating locations have been independently verified in accordance with ISO 14064-1, enhancing both data quality and disclosure credibility.

Energy Management

The primary energy sources used in the Company’s operations include purchased electricity, solar power, gasoline, diesel fuel, and natural gas. Energy consumption is mainly attributable to manufacturing equipment operations, air conditioning systems, public utilities, and facility management activities. In 2025, the Group’s total energy consumption amounted to 584,460 GJ, covering major operating locations including Shulin HQ (including the Tucheng R&D Center), Miaoli Yuanli Plant, Miaoli Tongluo Plant, Suzhou Wujiang Plant, and Guangdong Zhongshan Plant. Through regular inventories, trend analyses, and energy intensity management mechanisms, the Company continuously monitors energy efficiency and uses the results as a basis for planning energy-saving initiatives, equipment upgrades, and medium- to long-term Energy Management strategies.

Waste Management

In 2025, the total amount of waste generated across all Plants was 1,779.93 metric tons, with 526.31 metric tons recycled, resulting in an overall waste recycling rate of 30%. Compared with the recycling rate of 41% in 2024, the recycling rate decreased during the reporting year, primarily due to process adjustments at certain Plants and changes in waste composition. To enhance resource recovery performance, the Company has strengthened its waste segregation and management mechanisms while continuously optimizing waste reduction measures and recycling processes. These efforts are intended to gradually improve overall Waste Management performance. The table below summarizes waste generation and recycling performance by Plant.

In 2025, the Company’s total water withdrawal amounted to 652.6 million liters, representing a decrease of approximately 6.8% compared with 700.5 million liters in 2024. This result demonstrates the effectiveness of the Company’s ongoing water conservation initiatives and water-use efficiency management efforts. The reduction was primarily attributable to process water optimization and the implementation of water recycling and reuse mechanisms at certain Plants, which effectively reduced freshwater demand and improved overall water-use efficiency. The Company’s primary water sources consist of industrial water supplies and local municipal water systems. None of the Company’s operating locations are situated in water-stressed areas; therefore, the risk of significant impacts on regional water resources is considered relatively limited.
